The Border Management Authority and National Consumer Commission have begun implementing a joint enforcement strategy aimed at curbing illicit imports entering South Africa through official ports of entry. The initiative will focus on cross-border e-commerce, courier and postal shipments, counterfeit goods, and other fraudulent trade schemes, while strengthening cooperation between border control and consumer protection authorities.
